Application Support Technician

Who Are We Looking For: At the highest level, we are seeking an intuitive problem solver. As an Application Support Specialist, you will support client’s business success by resolving technical needs related to PUBLIQ Software. The Application Support Specialist provides support to customers, answering questions on function and technical aspects of the product via the telephone and/or Internet and conveys customer feedback to the product development team. This position serves as primary support liaison between company and customer, in a highly team-oriented environment. We are looking for support analysts to strengthen our technical team in a technical environment that is evolving at a fast pace.

Must Possess:

  • Prior working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Technical software knowledge and/or prior experience as a software trainer.
  • Excellent communication skills which include: written, verbal, and presentation skills with the English language.

  • Prior working experience in the municipal government arena and/or product or services sold to government and public sector customers.

Ability To:

  • Guide the software support process of PUBLIQ Software’s products and services to both new and existing customers.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills as the face of PUBLIQ Software to our customers.

What Education You’ll Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (business, finance, accounting, computer science, communications, education, training, or curriculum development
  • Typically requires 18 months to three years of experience of related experience to be fully successful in technical training, product support, and/or consulting.


What Experience Would Be Beneficial:

  • Experience working with local governments or a SaaS organization.
  • Working knowledge of the principles of finance and/or accounting.
