Application Support Engineer - API Services

As a client services engineer, you will support client’s business success by resolving technical needs related to our pharmacy software API.  If you value serving clients and possess passion for solving deep technical challenges, this may be a great fit for you.  You must thrive in high-pressure environments where business critical issues require rapid resolution to achieve patient outcomes.  You will be empowered to do what is right for the customer to attain success and create loyalty.

Who's the Boss: 

You’ll be under the guidance of Robert Thompson, our Supervisor of Client Services. 

 

What You'll Be Doing: 

  • Ensure client loyalty by providing the industry’s best client services experience 
  • Develop a deep understanding of Smith Technologies API software application 
  • Independently satisfy client and vendor needs via phone, email or other channels 
  • Create, review and update knowledge articles 
  • Train and assist teammates 
  • Work with software development to enhance and fix product(s) 
  • Work with outside API vendors on solutions
  • Limited travel may be required

What Experience You’ll Need to Have: 

  • 3 – 5 years of success in client-facing, technical support roles 
  • 3 – 5 years of demonstrated software subject matter expertise  
  • Refined customer relationship and conflict management 

 

What Education You'll Need to Have: 

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g. Computer Science or Electrical Engineering) or equivalent technical experience. 

 

What Experience Would Be Beneficial: 

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. SQL MCSE, MCSA Windows Server, RESTfulAPIs, JSON, or CCNP) 
  • Practical pharmacy software experience 
  • Familiarity with common programming languages
