NIGHT SHIFT - Application Support Engineer (Hardware)

Please Note: This is a NIGHT SHIFT position, with working hours from 2:00 - 10:00 PM (EST), Monday through Friday. 

Who Are We Looking For: QS/1 is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as a Hardware Technician. Our ideal candidate will be able to perform installations and repair on hardware products over the phone. Resolve customer problems and answers questions. Keeps record of system problems and issues. Operates under general supervision. Reports to a supervisor; may report to a Product Manager.

Must Possess:

  • A+ Certification, Network Essentials or prior experience
  • Ability to configure and setup small business networks to include small business and retail level routers
  • Install servers, network printers, point of sale registers, and load drivers for peripheral devices
  • Repair Lexmark laser printers
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using remote tools.
  • Convey complex IT configurations and terminology to both IT and Non-IT customers
  • Communicate in a professional and personable manner in spoken and written forms
  • Highly organized and detail oriented individual who produces results at high standards
  • Possesses the desire to continually learn and become proficient with new technology and processes
  • Professional, customer facing focus.
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while on the telephone with customers.
  • Must be able to work closely with your peers to resolve complicated issues

Ability To:

  • Have a flexible schedule to work before business hours, after hours, and some weekends.

What Education You'll Need to Have: 

  • Certified in hardware and equipment installation and repairs through vocational school.
  • Typically requires up to three years of field support experience.
  • An associate‚Äôs degree is preferred.

What Experience Would be Beneficial:

  • General knowledge of company's products and installation procedures.
  • Good organization, time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient PC skills.
